Sonia Gandhi calls meeting of opposition parties on May 22

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has referred to as a meeting of opposition parties on May 22 on the coronavirus disaster and the massive motion of migrant labourers to their native states, sources stated.

They stated Gandhi will chair the meeting on May 22 by way of video conferencing which is predicted to be held at three pm.

The sources stated that Congress has invited opposition parties and the main focus of the meeting can be on coronavirus disaster with an emphasis on the “tremendous difficulties” confronted by migrant labourers returning to their houses in several states.

Sources stated NCP chief Sharad Pawar, JMM chief Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, DMK chief MK Stalin, CPI-M’s Sitaram Yechury, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav are amongst leaders from 20 parties possible to participate within the meeting.

Banerjee on Monday confirmed that she is going to take part within the meeting.
