Tata Motors group global wholesales dip 64% at 91,594 in Q1

Stock Market

The Tata Motors Group global wholesales in the April to June quarter dropped by 64% to 91,594 items as in comparison with Q1 FY20.

Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ business autos and Tata Daewoo vary in Q1 FY21 have been at 11,598 items, down 89% year-on-year, it stated in a press release on Friday.

Global wholesales of all passenger autos in Q1 FY21 have been down 49% at 79,996 items.

On the opposite hand, global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover have been 65,425 autos. Jaguar wholesales for the quarter have been 17,971 autos whereas Land Rover wholesales have been 47,454 autos.

The auto trade has been dealing with robust headwinds amid a slowing economic system resulting from a number of components — liquidity disaster, excessive gas costs, modifications in axle load norms and BS-VI transition — all resulting in weak client sentiments and subdued demand throughout segments.

Disruption in the availability chain induced by the pandemic and the nationwide lockdown in mid-March 2020 have added to the issues.
